STUDIO SOL OPEN CALL 2020
Studio Sol invites artists, artist groups and curators to submit event, project or exhibition proposals for the gallery’s 2020 programme. Creative ideas centered around exhibitions, lecture series, curator talks, performance, are all welcome for submission. The open call therefore accepts proposals for shorter event and workshop periods of a weekend to one week, as well as longer exhibition blocks running for one month to six weeks. Accepted participants choose and manage their own open studio hours with the director´s coordination. As the gallery director I am searching for projects that will both activate the gallery space as well as our community and locality in a lively and unique way.
Proposals can be written in Icelandic or English. In your application please include a written proposal (1 page), CV(s) for all participants (max 5 documents), and any supporting visual material or samples of work (max 5 documents). Please include preferred dates and duration.
Selection process: Applications will be reviewed by the gallery director and applications will be notified of results within one month from the application deadline.
